Tom Waits, Neil Diamond and Alice Cooper have been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
The trio attended the black-tie ceremony at New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel on 14 March 2011.
Alice Cooper wrapped a snake around his neck for his induction and performed three songs live at the event. For 'School’s Out' he was joined by a choir of children dressed in black make-up.
"We’ve always been a hard rock band," he said. "We just wanted to decorate it a little differently."

alice cooper pre-show tradition
It turns out Alice Cooper has a pretty strange pre-show ritual. While some musicians meditate or stretch before they perform, the shock rocker prefers to watch a specific type of movie. Alice told Ontario’s Intelligencer that he arrives at venues 90 minutes before the show to “watch really bad kung fu.” Cooper wouldn’t give details on the custom, adding only, “Don’t ask me why, it’s a tradition and I cannot explain it."
