garth brooks - nashville flood
Garth Brooks' nine shows in Nashville this month may have brought as much as $10 million to the city's economy, according to the Nashville Business Journal. However, that figure provided by the Nashville Convention and Visitor's Bureau doesn't include local hotel revenues during Brooks' performances that took place 16 - 22 December 2010 in downtown Nashville. Brooks sold 140,000 tickets at $25 each for the shows that also featured his wife Trisha Yearwood. Raising a projected estimate of $3 million for the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Concert proceeds will benefit ongoing flood relief after the city's devastating flood in May 2010.
