Luke Bryan announced he was released his third studio disc, "Tailgates & Tanlines," on Capitol Records Nashville 9 Aug. 2011.
Bryan made the announcement via Facebook. He performed several new album songs live - Drunk On You and Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye. He also revealed behind the scenes footage shot during the making of his new video Country Girl (Shake It For Me).
"I'm so excited to be giving my fans new music," said Bryan. "Writing and recording this project has been a blast. I feel like I continue to grow in my artistry, and I hope that feeling never goes away. I think being out there on the road so much and seeing what the fans want make it much clearer for me to know what to give them. I hope they are as excited to hear it as I am to know what they think. 'Tailgates & Tanlines' pretty much sums up a good time, and that is what I go out there every night wanting to accomplish. I want everyone that hears my music to forget about all the other things in their lives that might stress them out and just raise their hands and sing along."
The first single, Country Girl (Shake It For Me), co-written with Dallas Davidson, has become a Top 20 hit. The song was his fastest rising single to date and also debuted as a number one country digital single.
Bryan is on tour this summer on Tim McGraw's "Emotional Traffic" tour.
